Type 321 is an "18-8" chromium-nickel stainless steel modified by the addition of titanium to overcome the danger of intergranular corrosion, common to other austenitic stainless steels during or after exposure to temperatures of 800°F.

- ASTM A511 and AMS5557, 5559, 5570, 5576, 5645
- British Specifications:
- 321 S 31, 321 S 51, LW24, LWCF 24
- Applications:
- Used for aircraft parts and other assemblies requiring good heat, corrosion and oxidation resistance up to approximately 1500ºF. At elevated temperatures its use is limited to low stress applications.
- Size Range:
- .062" - 6" (2MM - 152MM) OD; .008" - 1.0" (.2mm - 25 mm) wall
